This is another of hubby’s homemade rice cooker meals, Papa’s Clam Pilaf Dinner:

For the meal hubby steamed diced pork, clams, rice, water, sliced enoki, maitake, and shitake mushrooms, bonito dashi, white wine, and soy sauce in a rice cooker; when finished, the mixture was combined with grated parmesan cheese and chopped scallions; added a small iceberg lettuce, arugula, sliced cucumber, cherry tomato, and chopped scallion salad drizzled with a creamy French dressing; and completed the meal with a small bowl of instant miso soup.

1 Strainer 1 Pot 2 Frying pans 3 Stovetop burners

1 Can opener 1 Blender/processor Scissors

8 Small cherry tomatoes

7 Black olives (pitted)

6 Six-inch flour tortillas

3 Slices cheddar cheese

1 Can chili beans with sauce

1 Package taco seasoning

2 Cups frozen shrimp

1/2 Cup chicken broth

1/3 Cup cream

1 Tablespoon leek whites

1 Tablespoon olive oil

Iceberg lettuce leaves

Sour cream

Fresh parsley sprigs

For this meal hubby made a salad of iceberg lettuce, white onion slices, halved cherry tomatoes, chopped garlic chives, and drained canned tuna tossed with a light coat of creamy seasame dressing; ham and cheese on toasted white bread triangles with a thin coat of mayonnaise; and instant miso soup.

This meal included diced half-baked potato and assorted frozen bell pepper and sliced bacon strips sautéed in butter and olive oil with fresh corn-on-the cob kernels, frozen shrimp, white pepper, red chili pepper flakes, dried parsley flakes, minced garlic paste, and strained canned butter beans added; tossed with chopped garlic chives and garnished with a dallop of sour cream and dried thyme flakes; accompanied by a toasted tortilla with almond cheese roll.

The platter consisted of honeydew slices with almond cheese chunks wrapped in ham; cucumber slices; spicy cheese kamaboko (fish sausage); baby cheese chunks; Spanish olives; leftover KFC chicken; toasted white bread triangles with a tuna spread of drained canned-tuna, dill pickle juice, minced garlic paste, minced ginger paste, diced white onion, crushed capers, soy sauce, dried parsley flakes, and mayonnaise; Hershey’s dark chocolate kisses; and red wine.

For the meal, hubby served foil-wrapped half-baked potato with sour cream, sweet corn-on-the-cob; skewered shishitou peppers; skewered leek; a small salad of iceberg lettuce and sliced cherry tomatoes with a creamy cheese dressing; and tuna steak in a marinade/sauce of sesame oil, minced ginger paste, minced garlic paste, lemon juice, white pepper, soy sauce, red wine, and leek.
