Every once in a while, hubby and I decide to cook breakfast together. This is something we came up with to make use of more T-Day leftovers, Sunshine Breakfast:

For the dish, we added leftover cranberry sauce and some almond slivers to pancake batter; then cooked bacon slices and pancakes; plated sliced Japanese apple, the bacon, and the pancakes topped with butter and drizzled with maple syrup; finally we sprinkled the whole meal with powdered cinnamon.

This quick and tasty mash consisted completely of leftovers (except the garnish), SOS Mash:

The last of the leftovers from the Hearty Chicken & Pasta Dinner and the SOS Wrap Dinner were combined; placed on a bed of leftover pre-cooked rice; and garnished with a fresh basil sprig and grated parmesan cheese.

In the week well-known for leftovers this is hubby’s first T-day goodie remake, Papa’s Turkey Rice Dinner:

For the meal, hubby ladled turkey gravy over a bed of rice topped with shredded leftover turkey and string beans and sliced mushrooms sautéed in olive oil and butter .

With both of us cooking most of our meals, leftovers start stacking up in the freezer. This dish is a combination of some of those reminants of other meals, Pasta Mash:

The dish consisted of leftover Papa’s Spicy Shrimp & Veggies, some leftover Hearty Chicken & Pasta Dinner, and leftover Papa’s Mediterranean Veggie with Pork Dinner.

This simple meal is quick and tasty, Papa’ s Sliced Pork & Potatoes with Shroons Dinner:

For the meal, hubby sautéed sliced pork in olive oil; then added garlic chips, fresh mushrooms, blanched potato slices, chopped nira, oyster sauce, white pepper, and soy sauce.

This “oba-style” bento is very similar to bento#14 with rice, umeboshi, yakisoba, a karashina-tuna-fu mix, omelette, pork luncheon meat (spam), and deep-fried pork cutlet with sauce.

Here’s a new idea for a standard edible in many households, SOS Wrap Dinner:

2 Frying pans 1 Medium Pot 2 Stovetop Burners 1 Strainer
1 Can opener 1 Knife 1 Cutting board 4 Toothpicks

1 Can cream of mushroom soup

1 Can chili beans with sauce

1 Small can sliced mushrooms

4 Medium flour tortillas

4 Cherry tomatoes

¼ Red onion

1 Pound ground beef

¼ Cup red wine

¼ Cup milk

1 Tablespoon minced garlic paste

1 Tablespoon white pepper

1 Tablespoon dried parsley flakes

Iceberg lettuce leaves

Soft cream cheese

Dried cilantro flakes

A little something hubby whipped up for the two of us this T-Day, Papa’s Turkey Day Feast 2006:

The meal consisted of roasted turkey with gravy from a local vendor, canned cranberry sauce, black olives, boiled frozen green beans, chpped carrot boiled with chicken broth granules, and mashed potatoes with butter, cream, nutmeg, and white pepper.

1 Tablespoon whole grain mustard

2 Teaspoons bleu cheese

Creamy cheese dressing

This is another of the “oba-style” bentos available on island that is similar to bento #46. This one has mackerel, kamaboko, rice, umeboshi, goya chanpuru, gobo, sausage, potato-veggie mixture, and konyaku .
