With St Patrick’s Day coming up, I decided to see what unique creations others have posted. To be quite honest, I was surprised that there seems to be a very limited number of ideas when it comes to this holiday. However, there was one site that I found crammed full of charming creations (albeit, some were not that unique). So if you are looking for ways to get green, here are a few ideas:

May be you could try a pot ‘o gold. Here is the recipe.

Perhaps you want to find what is at the end of the rainbow. This is the recipe.

Or you need a new take on that lucky shamrock. Yet another great recipe idea.

Even though the info says the project has been around since 2000, I just ran across this most unusal cooking video site that boasts a very unique host chef, Tako.

Okay, I don’t know how long this has been on the net – buuuut – I love it!!! This particular product character is one of the most nostalgic examples of food Americana I can think of, ew-whew!

I very seldom recommend specific sites, but Slashfood is not just another site. It is the gourmet glutton’s version of heaven sprinkled with just enough nerd to help novices on the journey. Take the site’s sushi section for example. A very informative introduction to the world of raw fish. The site is well worth a few moments of anyone who loves food’s time.

Here’s another one of those sites that covers more on a specific food topic than anyone thought was imaginable. This particular site covers a topic near and dear to most people’s tummies, popcorn!

When I introduced the creative guest portion of this blog, I knew there were some combinations of everyday edibles that I thought were rather unusual. If there weren’t so many of these munchies in the following sites, I would still have to wonder if it’s all being submitted as inside jokes.

In case you haven’t been able to tell by my latest posts, this is the time of year when I love heading into the kitchen. And because it is one of the most hectic times of the year with every day producing unknown schedules, I find that the crockpot is one of my best friends. I am constantly on the look-out for new ideas and recipes that I can incorporate into my catalog of substituted edibles. However, recently ran across a site that has one-upped my imagination in creating original edible combinations. Never in one thousand years would I have come up with this.
