This is hubby’s first try at a classic Asian favorite, Papa’s Pepper Steak & Spring Roll Dinner:

The meal consisted of deep-fried wrapped ground spicy pork sausage and mushrooms with moyashi; cubed beef, sliced green pepper,white onions,toubyanjan sauce, olive oil, oyster sauce, white pepper, corn starch, minced garlic paste, and sliced mushrooms; rice topped with cracked black sesame seeds; and a ketchup, Worcester sauce, and toubyanjan sauce dip.

Hubby’s been experimenting with spices in this home cooked meal, Papa’s Curried Beef Fried Rice Dinner:

This simple and delish meal consisted of ground beef, carrot, red and green bell pepper, white onion, Shitake mushrooms, leftover precooked rice, white pepper, cumin, powdered curry, sesame oil, minced garlic paste, minced ginger paste, and chives accompanied by canned cream of mushroom soup with herbed croutons.

Hubby was in the need of a break from the wintery stew and soup meals, so he came up with this, Papa’s Hamburger Steak Dinner:

For the meal, hubby combined nutmeg, hamburger, panko, sautéed bacon bits, white pepper, egg, and milk for the patty; topped it with a canned demi-glase infused with red wine and shitake mushrooms; and garnished with fresh basil sprig. Side dishes consisted of rice topped with cracked black sesame seeds, steamed carrot slices sautéed in butter and olive oil; and a salad of iceberg lettuce, arugula, salad greens, and cherry tomatoes with a creamy sesame dressing.

This meal makes use of the last of the New Year leftovers, New-Years-Platter Pasta Dinner:

For the dish, I chopped leftover New Year’s platter goodies into bite-size pieces; sautéed 10 bite-size beef chunks and 8 shrimp in olive oil and minced garlic paste; added the New Year goodies, 2 cups leftover pasta salad, a dash of white wine vinegar, and 1/2 teaspoon red chili pepper flakes; and sprinkled with a light layer of parmesan cheese.. As an accompaniment, reheated leftover deep-fried quails eggs on-a-stick with a soy sauce dipping sauce.

‘Tis the season for leftovers. This is an idea hubby came up with for extra New Year’s goodies, Papa’s New-Year-Platter Skillet Paella:

The meal was quite simple, hubby lightly browned uncooked rice in butter; and added saffron, chicken broth, julienned homegrown bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, and various remains from the New Year Platter. It was surpisingly tasty, but I think I would have crumbled the meatballs though.

This is another unique and tasty meal that makes use of holiday leftovers, Red & Green Delight:

Equipment and All Ingredients Needed

2 Frying pans 1 Medium pot 3 Stovetop Burners 1 Can opener

1 Colander 1 Knife 1 Cutting board

300 Grams beef

2 Whole wheat dinner rolls

2 Pitted black olives

3 Large cherry tomatoes

¼ Broccoli flower

½ Cup sour cream

1 Tablespoon olive oil

1 Tablespoon white pepper

1 Tablespoon balsamic vinegar

1 Tablespoon powdered sage

1 Tablespoon almond slivers

1 Teaspoon powdered thyme

1 Teaspoon bleu cheese

5 Fresh basil leaves

4 Fresh mint leaves

4 Extra-thin slices cranberry sauce

150 Grams pasta of choice

Fresh arugula leaves

Nutmeg

Cracked black sesame seeds

The meal consisted of grilled thinly-sliced skewered beef with a whole grain mustard, soy sauce, cayenne pepper, and minced garlic paste dipping sauce; red chili beans and sauce mixed with leftover precooked rice and chopped scallions; melted cheddar cheese and fresh homegrown basil leaves tortilla wraps; and a simple salad of iceberg lettuce, chopped cherry tomatoes and scallions, and bacon bits drizzled with a creamy sesame seed dressing.

With the weather getting a bit more nippy in the evenings, hubby created a delightfully tasty way to get warm, Papa’s Chunky Cream Soup:

For the soup hubby used sliced potatoes, thinly sliced beef, chopped bacon and fresh mushrooms, diced onion, fresh rosemary, dried parsley and oregano flakes, powdered thyme, white pepper, cream, and a tad of olive oil. As an accompaniment, buttered whole wheat dinner roll slices.

This quick and tasty mash consisted completely of leftovers (except the garnish), SOS Mash:

The last of the leftovers from the Hearty Chicken & Pasta Dinner and the SOS Wrap Dinner were combined; placed on a bed of leftover pre-cooked rice; and garnished with a fresh basil sprig and grated parmesan cheese.

1 Can cream of mushroom soup

1 Can chili beans with sauce

1 Small can sliced mushrooms

4 Medium flour tortillas

4 Cherry tomatoes

¼ Red onion

1 Pound ground beef

¼ Cup red wine

¼ Cup milk

1 Tablespoon minced garlic paste

1 Tablespoon white pepper

1 Tablespoon dried parsley flakes

Iceberg lettuce leaves

Soft cream cheese

Dried cilantro flakes
