For this meal, hubby used leftover Leek Stuffed-Pork rolls and potatoes sautéed in olive oil and sesame oil smothered with a white wine, sour cream, chopped fresh parsley, mirin, white pepper, butter, and minced garlic paste sauce and garnished with grated parmesan cheese; accompanied by sautéed carrots and frozen asparagus spears.

The flavorful meal consisted of grilled chopped chicken thigh marinated in honey, whole grain mustard, minced ginger paste, white pepper, and allspice; chopped bell pepper, white onion, and garlic clove skewers with a soy sauce dip; foiled-wrapped quartered whole potatoes with olive oil, butter, and chopped fresh basil leaves; and a salad of iceberg lettuce, quartered cherry tomatoes, chopped scallions, bacon bits, dried oregano flakes, and a creamy sesame seed dressing.

Here’s another tasty home cooking idea with a twist, Crockpot-Curry & Cold Bean Salad Dinner:

The meal consisted of minced carrot, bell pepper, and white onion with ground beef, two powdered curries, clove, cinnamon, minced ginger paste, minced garlic paste, and beef bouillon cooked in a crockette; ladled over a spicy pork sausage on a slice of bread;and garnished with a sliced, spiced, seaweed sheet; accompanied by deep-fried potato croquettes of ground whole potatoes with skins, crockpot curry, and dried bread crumbs then coated in panko; and a cold salad of shredded iceberg lettuce with bean mix sautéed in olive oil, butter, minced garlic paste, soy sauce, dried parsley flakes,and white pepper; chilled, then drizzled with olive oil; and garnished with parmesan cheese.

So you spent the day repainting the ouside of the house and don’t really feel like fast food, yet you really aren’t in the mood for a heavy or complicated solution, Paint Day Kwiqi Meal:

For the meal, I made a simple salad of iceberg lettuce, diced cucumber, quartered cherry tomatoes, and chopped scallions topped with bacon bits, creamy cheese dressing, grated parmesan cheese, and dried oregano flakes; accompanied by fresh mushrooms, sliced spicy sausage, and frozen mustard greens sautéed in sesame oil and minced garlic paste with white pepper and soy sauce and topped with cracked black sesame seeds; also, deep-fried store-bought frozen spiced chicken and home fries served with a mayonnaise and dried parsley flakes dipping sauce; and the remaining leftover frozen springrolls made by hubby served with a simple ketchup and soy sauce dipping sauce.

When time is in short supply, here’s a super quick home cooked meal that can be put together in minutes, Under 10 Chicken & Rice:

Simply remove some basic crockpot chicken base from the freezer; heat in microwave on high for at least 5 -6 minutes; remove from microwave and place in serving plate; at the same time, reheat precooked rice in microwave; remove rice and combine with chicken; sprinkle with dried thyme flakes; serve.

This is a simple, tasty, and frugal home cooked meal idea of hubby’s, Papa’s F&C Veggie-Tenpura Dinner:

For the meal hubby made a tenpura batter, dipped some red fish fillets in part of the batter; sautéed the morsels in olive oil; then smothered the results in tartar sauce. He then used the remainder of the batter for a thin veggie-tenpura of kaiware daikon, leek, fresh basil, and chives; and rounded the meal off with some home-style chips drizzled with ketchup.

1 Medium pot 1 Small frying pan 2 Stovetop burners 1 Toaster

5 Medium new potatoes

8 Frozen shrimp

4 Cherry tomatoes

2 Spanish olives

1 Slice whole wheat bread

1 Slice bacon

1 Slice American cheese

1 Slice white onion

¼ Cucumber

1 Cup milk

1 Cup cream

3 Tablespoons olive oil

2 Tablespoons butter

1 Tablespoon leek

1 Tablespoon white pepper

1 Teaspoon mayonnaise
